DKN: Deep Knowledge-Aware Network for News Recommendation
نویسندگان
چکیده
Online news recommender systems aim to address the information explosion of news and make personalized recommendation for users. In general, news language is highly condensed, full of knowledge entities and common sense. However, existing methods are unaware of such external knowledge and cannot fully discover latent knowledge-level connections among news. The recommended results for a user are consequently limited to simple patterns and cannot be extended reasonably. Moreover, news recommendation also faces the challenges of high time-sensitivity of news and dynamic diversity of users’ interests. To solve the above problems, in this paper, we propose a deep knowledge-aware network (DKN) that incorporates knowledge graph representation into news recommendation. DKN is a content-based deep recommendation framework for click-through rate prediction. The key component of DKN is a multi-channel and word-entity-aligned knowledge-aware convolutional neural network (KCNN) that fuses semantic-level and knowledge-level representations of news. KCNN treats words and entities asmultiple channels, and explicitly keeps their alignment relationship during convolution. In addition, to address users’ diverse interests, we also design an attention module in DKN to dynamically aggregate a user’s history with respect to current candidate news. Through extensive experiments on a real online news platform, we demonstrate that DKN achieves substantial gains over state-of-the-art deep recommendation models. We also validate the efficacy of the usage of knowledge in DKN.

Deep Neural Architecture for News Recommendation
Deep neural networks have yielded immense success in speech recognition, computer vision and natural language processing. However, the exploration of deep neural networks for recommender systems has received a relatively little introspection. Also, different recommendation scenarios have their own issues which creates the need for different approaches for recommendation. Specifically in news re...
متن کاملTag-Aware Personalized Recommendation Using a Hybrid Deep Model
Recently, many efforts have been put into tag-aware personalized recommendation. However, due to uncontrolled vocabularies, social tags are usually redundant, sparse, and ambiguous. In this paper, we propose a deep neural network approach to solve this problem by mapping the tag-based user and item profiles to an abstract deep feature space, where the deep-semantic similarities between users an...
متن کاملAutomatic Hashtag Recommendation in Social Networking and Microblogging Platforms Using a Knowledge-Intensive Content-based Approach
In social networking/microblogging environments, #tag is often used for categorizing messages and marking their key points. Also, since some social networks such as twitter apply restrictions on the number of characters in messages, #tags can serve as a useful tool for helping users express their messages. In this paper, a new knowledge-intensive content-based #tag recommendation system is intr...
متن کاملLocation-Aware Recommendation Systems: Where We Are and Where We Recommend to Go
Recommendation systems have been successfully used to provide items of interest to the users (e.g., movies, music, books, news, images). However, traditional recommendation systems do not take into account the location as a relevant factor when providing suggestions. On the other hand, nowadays, there exist an increasing amount of georeferenced data and users are usually interested only in near...
متن کاملDNN-based with Click-sequence-aware Mechanism for Notifications/Pop-ups Recommendation
With the emergence of mobile and wearable devices, push notification becomes a powerful tool to connect and maintain the relationship with App users, but sending inappropriate or too many messages at the wrong time may result in the App being removed by the users. In order to maintain the retention rate and the delivery rate of advertisement, we adopt Deep Neural Network (DNN) to develop a pop-...
